The Weeds are a young Rock N' Roll band that bring many musical influences from past generations back to life with their high energy, head banging live preformances. The Weeds began as a high school rock n roll band in November 2006 with dreams as high as they could get. Skyler Radmore approached Adam Traversy during a lunch break at school and asked if he would be interested in starting a band where Radmore sings and Traversy played guitar. Since Traversy knew that both their past groups had been in a downword spiral, he had nothing to lose by accepting the offer and trying to write some new music. The duo found themselves a drummer by the name of Chris Dixon who's musical skill and dedication seemed to be at the same level as the other two boys. Now a trio, the group set out in search of a bassist, but not just a guitarist who knew his way around a four string. They wanted someone who loved the bass more than any other instrament. Late in Radmore's previous project where he played lead guitar, a bassist by the name of Shawn Baldwin came in and layed down a solid bass line one groove after the other. Radmore sugested him to Traversy but Adam was skeptical at first because he knew Baldwin from school and the two haven't always gotten along. Radmore convinced him to let Baldwin come to the rehearsal space and see how the music jelled, sort of like an audition. however if you ask Baldwin he will tell you he was trying the rest of the band out for himself. after several successfull jams the boys were inspired and already writting new material like "Orange" and "Grey". Things were going smoothly, except that Dixon had a serious condition that would hold him back in participating in the extra corricular acctivities that the rest of the group got themselves into. This put a bit of a spin on the relationship within the band and in December 2007 Chris Dixon left The Weeds to persue other musical intrests. Once again without a key member of the band the boys did the one thing that made sense, they asked the drummer who lived 2 doors down from the rehearsal space to come jam some tunes. Together as a complete group since January 2008 when the boys went on a spiritual journey only to discover Baldwins true name Shawn "The Baldersnatch" Baldwin and the true missing link in the sound of colour. Greg Higgins stepped up as the new Weeds time keeper. With his incredible talent and passion for old school blues/rock he fit the requirements of the band as if he'd always been a member.
