Ch-ch-ch-changes!

So. I took in Osheaga on Saturday, in theory it was a working trip..but really..I went for The National, because well, they are IT. However, I did get to see this little band called Arcade Fire (freakin brilliant show). Saw Beach House (went on a half hour late, so I did miss the last bit, but they were everything I'd hoped for). Had my mind blown though by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Had never even heard of them, but now I can't stop playing their disc.

Anyway, I digress. The point of this little write up is to share with you that we at Lysten have modified somewhat our festival plans (thank you Osheaga). Instead of three stages, we're going with two. Instead of three days, we want two (seems three IS NOT the magic number). Why? For you the fans. We don't want to offer you some diluted festival. We want to offer a quality event loaded with emerging talent.

With the offers we have out, and the acts we're still contacting, we're convinced you will want to be at the gates for 12 on the Saturday and stay until the very last encore on Sunday. I get that people want to know who's coming, and I promise you, I want to share..but this whole process has been a helluva learning experience. When you're the new kid on the block, not many people want to deal with you, those that do, kinda want to take advantage. Then there are those that want in, that you WANT in, but they want to wait and see who else is going to commit. Almost all of this is reasonable...but DAMN! There's also only so much money to go around, and trying to balance out value versus cost...ugh.

Anyways, those are my challenges, not yours. I'll be back here soon.

Chris

We are all hoarders to some

We are all hoarders to some degree, but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn how to get organized and rid ourselves of the clutter and useless junk taking up precious living space in our homes. Rather than accumulating the necessities we require for self-preservation, comfort and productivity, we have instead turned to mass consumption of useless junk. Pet supplies buy a watch vhs vhs

I have found a lot of useful

I have found a lot of useful information from this platform. I must say that sharing your thoughts with one another is an easy way to relax yourself in the daily hectic routines. Each time a description of the change, there are always lots of talk about it anywhere. These are not exempt. I mean one must be up to date with the day to day change in the environment and in the technology as well. In my personal opinion, the world is turning into a global village and now you can get a lot of required information by just a click while sitting where ever you are. I started perusing the internet this morning with the intent of doing an article about vintage Hawaiian fashions.nbsp;I can't say at what point I got distracted by pictures of islanders at picnics and tail gate parties, or even why...but I'm like that...or maybe I just have summer on my mind!So from fashion to food, mahalo for allowing me to share a little bit of a local girls' perspective of life in Hawaii!

So we grab every moment of our busy lives that we can to spend time together, even if it is just a quick stop to have lunch at a park in the middle of a shopping day.

Noses and paws, that is where I think I spend the majority of my time when working on a bear.I am always trying to figure out faster better ways of doing things.nbsp; Sometimes they work, sometimes they don'tMy latest was trying to add an epoxy nose.nbsp; Right now I needle felt and then add layers of Mod Podge and sand in between.nbsp; It makes a very nice nose, but takes two days.nbsp; I have to cover, dry, sand, over and over, then paint,www.ugg-pas-chers.net, dry, seal, ugg boots on sale, paint, over and over to give it depth.nbsp; What I like about it is that I do it the same time as I felt the face, so it grows out of the face.nbsp; What I don't like is as I said, the time.So I thought I would make an epoxy clay nose the same time I was felting the face, take it off, let it dry, and then sew it on, easy right?I made a hole and added a small glass eye, then over the eye I sculpted the nose.nbsp; Epoxy won't stick to the wool, you need to seal it first for it to do that.Pulled it off, filed it smooth and stuck it back on the bears face.nbsp;nbsp; Why it doesn't work for me. Even with glue and pulling the nose into the face I couldn't get it to lay flat.nbsp; If you go back up and look at the same bear with the felted nose you will see what I mean.nbsp; The bottom part of the nose lays flat with the face. I started to see the glass eye coming through, so I could not sand anymore. It was just not what I wanted.nbsp; So back to the drawing board.nbsp; This just may have to be one of those things that takes forever.nbsp; I guess quot;if it ain't broke, don't fix it.quot; So now on to the paws. I can never leave well enough alone.

While you are there

For those folks interested in collecting vintage Christmas tree ornaments, nbsp;some of the most popular of all were the lightweight glass ornaments produced in and around Lauscha, Germany by glass blowers from the region in eastern Germany. This areanbsp;is considered to be thenbsp;birthplace of the Christmas tree ornament in general and the glass ornament in particular. This glassblowing center was established in 1590 in Lauscha by German Protestant glass blowers who settled there to escape religious persecution. There they created a lucrative industry in glassblowing toys and ornaments.nbsp; In 1847 Hans Greiner began producing glass ornaments in the shape of fruits and nuts.nbsp; The immense popularity in the U.S. of these fanciful glass ornaments was the result of the enterprising American businessman F.W. Woolworth who was surprised by their popularity. Between 1890 and 1909, the Woolworth company made 25 million on ornaments which cost the eager buyers ten cents or less.

Vintage Glass Teapot Pyrex Flame Ware Blue Tint circa 1940s for use on the stove and to steep tea. This retro glass teapot was a popular homemakers choice because you were able to heat up the water right on your gas stove and then add the Tea of your choice and serve it all in the same pretty Flame Ware blue tinted glass teapot. From stove to table This vintage glass Flame Ware teapot from Pyrex features a glass handle and lid and is accented with a stainless steel band around the middle to help absorb the heat from the glass. There was originally a grid that could be placed on the electric range for use for those with electric stoves. This is actually stated on the stainless band. The grid is not included with this vintage glass teapot. This glass teapot is NOT for use on an electric burner. You will find that this vintage teapottea kettle holds the heat quite well for serving your tea. What a great concept, you will not need a separate tea kettle and a tea pot to make enough tea for you your family or guests, so convenient Based on my research the blue tint was present in the Pyrex Flame Ware from 19361945, and this basic teapot design was in production until the 1970s, with slight style modifications. This vintage Flame Ware glass tea pot holds 6 cups and is signed with the Flame Ware logo and Pyrex 174, model number 8446B, Made in USA. This vintage glass teapotteakettle is in excellent condition no stains, chips or cracks, just a bit of normal expected wear on the bottom a few scratches. This vintage teapot is approximately 5 inches tall with the lid on and measures about 6 inches diameter and is about 9 inches in width including the glass handle. ...
